Review for Rosemary Ridge Apartments

I want to start by saying the apartment that I lived was very nice and I enjoyed my time there. I do have a dog and RR is supposed to be pet friendly. Just a little background...I am a clean freak! My dog is 8 years old and well past using the bathroom indoors. I own my own carpet cleaner and over the course of 2 years used it approximately every 3-4 months. So that equals to 5-6 times I have cleaned the carpets throughly before moving out.
I recently got married and had asked to move into a 2 bedroom apartment. My move-in date was pushed back 4 times before my husband and I finally moved out of our "storage unit" of a one-bedroom apartment with 2 apartments worth of stuff inside it. I was not compensated at all for my patience over the 2 months that our move-in date kept being pushed back. Finally we decided to leave Rosemary Ridge since they were not working with us and evicting the tenant who should have left months prior to this mess.
Upon moving out, I requested to be present at the inspection. The maintenance man came in and immediately said the apartment smelled like a dog and urine. He started pulling up carpet on the spot and, of course, found spots where I had spilled drinks. The TOP of the carpet was beautiful - no stains whatsoever! But because of the couple stains on the underside of the carpet I was told it would have to be replaced.
At this point I am furious, but I think I have enough paid in pet fees and deposits to be covered. I was wrong! A pet fee is paid to RR for the "privilege" of having a dog in their apartment community. Of the $825 in pet fees that I paid...NONE went towards replacing the carpet.

If you read my ranting, I am sorry for the long-windedness, but I feel pet owners should be wary of renting from RR! I am no conspiracy theorist, but I honestly feel that because it was known I had a pet they were going to take my deposit and then some regardless of what the carpet looked or smelled like. Because I had spilled drinks and the underside of the carpet was stained it was assumed it was urine. Please think twice before renting from them if you have a pet and hope to get your deposits back!
