Review for Ashley Park Apartments

Overall I do not regret moving here, but am not going to wax poetically about the place, either. A 2 bdrm, clean apt in a resort town for about 700 - no point in complaining too much. Newly painted, clean carpet, big closets/rather small bathrooms. Smoke detectors and sprinkler system throughout. No view of anything but the next building, but the complex is set far enough "inland" from the highway to be quiet. Minimal esthetics or landscaping, and the parking lot and entrys, esp. the elevators get nasty. (care-less tennants management can't keep up with? - they do seem to try. And if you have problems with appliances or lighting, etc, the office is quick to respond with a handyman) Parking is grab-it-and-growl. New residents over the last year seems to be drifting towards low-rent-neighborhood types, I wouldn't leave anything good in your car. If you come home late there's occasionaly the suspicion you've just interupted a suburban somebody's drug deal. Don't be scared off, and think this review is too negative, after all it is 2005 in Myrtle Beach, and Ashley Park is probably just a reflection of "you get what you pay for" - but no more.
