Review for Presidential Square Apartments

This place is TACKY. The management is terrible. There is never anywhere to park. I once had to park at the end of the lot (but not in a fire zone or in the way of anyone) because there literally was NO other spot. It took them no time at all to write a nasty and unprofessional letter stating to "never park here again". I addressed the management office about the situation and they told me to park on a different street if I had to. When I get home from work it's anywhere between 1-3 a.m. - the LAST thing I want to do when I'm tired is park blocks away.

The apartments in my building have re-enforced concrete ceilings, so it's pleasant from the neighbors up or downstairs, but the steps seem to be made of cardboard and it sounds like someone is knocking down every wall every time someone walks up and down them.

The apartment itself looks as if it hasn't been touched since the early to mid 70's. The kitchen is AWFUL. It's the darkest and dingiest wood. OLD. The carpets are a poop looking beige - the kind with the swirls in them. They must be 20-30 years old. Oh my Lord the bathrooms!!! They are in such desperate need of help. Once again dingy, rusty, moldy and dirty. I've spent countless hours trying to scrub the nastiness off of it - didn't work - could NEVER take a bath in my own apartment. Closet doors are made of a cheap metal that rattle like a tornado when you open them.

Maintence issues? Forget it. Our kitchen sink literally gurgles up dirty laundry water every time someone does laundry. At one point it was so bad that it would overflow up and out of the sink, all over the counters and onto the floor. We had to clean it up EVERY time this happened. Probably around 30-40 times. We called maintence, they came out (after giving us serious attitude) and said they fixed it THREE times. Never did. Yuck.

We rented this apartment b/c of it's location and size. Big mistake. Don't do it! Unless, of course you enjoy being patronized, treated unfairly, having no where to park, want to feel like you live in Sanford and son's apartment in the 70's or enjoy having someone else's moldy, linty, sweaty laundry water spill over your dishes...
